2. Organizer will provide 3D PVC leather for all Contestants. Contestants to bring tools, equipments and supplies to complete the “finished look”.
3. The judges’ decision is final.
4. All registered contestants will be given a competition program and rules & regulations which must be adhered to.
5. The winners are allowed to mention in advertising, or in any promotional materials, that they are, or have been, winners of the competition. They must include the category won and the year.
6. The Organizer reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions. The Organizer will not be held responsible in the event of any such unforeseen or unfortunate circumstances.

Proof of Eligibility

All Malaysian and non Malaysian professionals and student applicants who are qualified to perform nail services are eligible for the competition.

Professional
Contestants can choose to enter one or both professional categories.

Student / Amateur
Only open to those who are currently enrolled in a nail academy for beginner courses (full-time or part-time), or are graduates within one (1) year from the date of their certificate. Proof of licensure or qualification (such as school enrolment certificate or letter confirming salon employment) may be required.

General Competition Rules

1. Briefing. Briefing of the rules is scheduled 15 minutes before each competition. Contestants and models have to be present during the briefing. The judges reserve the right to the final interpretation of these rules.
2. Model. All contestants must provide their own models. Models must be at least 16 years old. Contestants are fully accountable for their models’ expenses. Models are not allowed to wear any jewelry on their hands, wrists or arms, including watches. Failure to comply will result in point deduction from overall score.
3. Tools. All contestants must provide their own tools, equipments and supplies including nail colors, lamps and accessories to complete the “finished look”.
4. All contestants will be given T-shirts.
5. The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into after judging.
6. Program and Rules & Regulations. All registered contestants will be given the competition program and rules & regulations.
7. Contestants and Model Release Form. The contestants and models must sign a release form and submit it to the Organizer before the competition starts.
8. Disqualification. Beginning to work on the model before the official start or after the official stop. Not adhering to the rules & regulations. Leaving the competition area without permission from the floor co-ordinator.
9. The winners are allowed to mention in advertisements, or in any promotional materials, that they are, or have been, winners of Nail Art Malaysia. They must also include the category won and the year.
10. The Organizer reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions, and cancel any of the categories. The Organizer will not be held responsible in the event of any such unforeseen or unfortunate circumstances.

Proof of Eligibility

Professional
Applicants must be two (2) years and above of working experience related to the industry. Submit a photocopy of certificate and ID card together with completed registration form.

Student / Amateur
Those who are currently enrolled in any beauty academy (full-time or part-time), or, graduates of beauty academy within one (1) year from the date of their certificate. Contestants must submit a photocopy of ID card, student card/letter from academy showing that they are regular students of that academy/certificate together with completed registration form.

7. Ineligible entrants. Any individual affiliated with the Organizer, the judges, advertising or marketing agencies of the Organizer is not eligible to enter the competitions.

9. Contestants and Model Release. The contestants and models must sign a release form before the competition for submission to the Organizer.

Overall Senior Champion (all three categories) will receive RM5,000.00 cash, winner trophy, a certificate, sponsored prizes, and RM50,000.00 worth of Wella product prizes.

Overall Junior Champion (all two categories) receives a winner trophy, a certificate, sponsored prizes, RM1,000 cash and one (1) return air ticket to Phuket.

1st Place winners of each category will each receive a complimentary MHA Gala Nite ticket.

Overall Senior Champion will be highlighted in Hair Malaysia publicity and marketing blitz coordinated by organizers and supporting publications.
