The Kuala Lumpur date for Canadian pop-punk singer Avril Lavigne's The Best Damn Tour has been fixed for Aug 29.
The concert, presented by Maxis Hotlink, is part of Lavigne's worldwide tour that includes performances in the United States, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines and Taiwan.



The Grammy award-nominated artiste's concert in Malaysia will be staged at 8pm in Stadium Merdeka.
Lavigne, a singer-songwriter known for her "skater punk" persona, released her debut album Let Go in 2002, which sold over 16 million copies worldwide. Her second album, Under My Skin (2004), sold eight million copies and her latest album, The Best Damn Thing (2007), has currently sold over five million copies.
The 24-year-old who made her film debut in the animated film Over the Hedge, has scored six No. 1 songs worldwide and has a total of 11 top 10 hits, including Complicated, Sk8er Boi, I'm With You, My Happy Ending, and Girlfriend.
Between July 19 and Aug 2, Hotlink and Maxis customers will enjoy a 10% early bird discount on tickets.
After the early bird promotion, they will continue to enjoy a 5% discount. To enjoy these discounts, they need to download an Avril Lavigne Caller Ringtone Package at RM5.
Tickets are priced at RM338, RM268 and RM168 (free standing) and RM188, RM138 and RM98 (free seating), and can be bought from the ticketing booth at the concourse of Sungei Wang Plaza in Kuala Lumpur.
